Part of my photo setup here is using Aperture 2 to manage files and an Epson Photo 1400 for handling printing here at home. Ever since I brought it home a few months ago I would occasionally run into issues with it not printing. It's not that it wasn't working, if I printed from anything else it was fine. But if I printed from Aperture it wouldn't print. I could see it getting to the print queue but would never print. I ran into the same issue tonight when I was trying to print a couple pictures for my sister. I updated Aperture, checked the drivers, restarted, etc. Nothing. I tried my faithful problem solver (google), still nothing. But after flipping through the Apple Customer Support I found my answer. This issue comes up when you specify a borderless paper option, but then specify a border. Yeah, go figure. You'd think if you specify a borderless paper source, it would prevent a border from being set. Especially if it would cause an error, which as it turns out, won't even tell you the problem. Hopefully this will help someone out there running into the same issue. -Ryan |
