In my past blogs, I've mentioned how I'm one of the only people in my school not going anywhere for spring break. My best friend, Abby, is currently in Costa Rica, enjoying the beautiful palm trees and exercising her awesome Spanish skills (she's too good at Spanish. I've been taking the language for 3 years, and I barely know how to say "Cómo Esta".) While another friend, Vasquez, just gotback from Florida, where I used to live. I miss the ocean breeze and the mist of the saltwater. |

Ok, I kind of don't know what to say about that comment... Suffice it to say that a lot of people are on Windows laptops. They are cheaper and extremely customizable. I work on an Asus W7S and it works like a charm. There are a lot of photographers on Windows laptops as well. And there are a lot of 13.3 sized Windows laptops out there that fit exactly into MacBook storage solutions. |

365*5=1825 4000/1825=2.2 troops per day BAGHDAD, March 24 (Reuters) - Four U.S. soldiers were blown up in Baghdad, pushing the U.S. military death toll in Iraq to 4,000 just days into the sixth year of a war that President George W. Bush says the United States is on track to win. - The United States lost 58,000 troops in over a decade of fighting in Vietnam until 1975, and 54,000 in the three-year-long Korean war that began in 1950. The U.S. military played down the latest Iraqi toll, saying it was an arbitrary marker. - |

The good news is that I am ordering my Canon 40D tonight. I love this camera and have seen some of the work it can do by photographers much better than me (Ed Pingol and Anne Ruthmann), so I'm beyond excited. I had thrown around the idea of getting the Canon Rebel xsi when it comes out next month since it will be cheaper, but I've been told by several professionals that I need to go with the professional-level camera. |

Not the first time I mention this. I'm now the proud owner of a Macbook Pro (as some of you might have followed in my twittering) , and although there isn't a stellar difference from the old version of it the multi touch is...well...a nice touch. So now that the technology Apple sought by acquiring Fingerworks (or their technology) is fully imbedded into the laptop's trackpad, when are we getting all the power user features Fingerworks users were so keen on? |

On Saturday, my beloved 12-inch Powerbook died. His name was Max. He served me faithfully for more than two years, though he was about a year and a half or two years older than that (I bought it used after my first Powerbook died in my car wreck). I took it to MacResource today, and they diagnosed a failed Logic Board, which would cost $425 to replace. If had enough time on my hands, I might scour eBay for a replacement and try to install it myself , but I don't. While I am really disappointed that my laptop died (and frustrated that it happened in the middle of the semester!), I'm surprised it lasted this long.
