it was a gift from my lady for xmas and up until lately the weather here hasn't cooperated enough for me to give my new toy a try. i have quite a few races to run this year including my first marathon so this was both a great gift idea and a chance to add another gadget to my stable. she humors me with letting me have so many toys. in any case i can't run without my ipod and this figured into the equation nicely.

for those uninitiated the nike amp+ watch/remote is something you wear on your wrist (duh!!) that controls the volume, play/pause, skip and stop/start for your workout. it interfaces with the little plug that's part of the nike + running deallio for your ipod and the chip in your shoe.

With the recent Michael Vick scandal, and PEDA being such a popular organization, people have been focusing on animal rights more and more. There is an animal rights story on local news every night. It usually involves some decent amount of dead or injured dogs being found behind a trailer. It is all very sad. But should it be so high up on our priorities?

Of course animals shouldn't be subject to harm and violence for no apparent reason, or any reason for that matter, but there are larger issues at hand. The world's governments are attempting to enslave the human race. People's freedoms are being taken away quicker than ever. But thousands of people spend there time protesting the rights of dogs and cats, lions and tigers, and wild animals intead of protesting our government.

Too bad it 's still winter with 20-30cm of snow coming. Boy, do I looooooooove Québec! (sarcasm intended)

I 'should' be happier. But 'should' is as big a word as 'if' ... and ... I'm not technically in a happy mood right now. Not pissed or depressed either. What's the word? Oh right, spiteful.

It's spring break. One short week of sleeping 'til 2 o' clock in the afternoon ... or so it was 'supposed' to be until my iPod finally died. I believe I said this in my previous post but whatever.

I recently received a promotion at work.  And like all such promotions, my workload increased and the number of meetings increased.  That's okay, cause I'm really excited about the job.

But here's what sucks!  I used to spend quite a bit of time at me desk on the computer everyday.  So, I got to listen to a lot of music and podcasts on my ipod.  Somedays, I'd listen to the ipod for 5 or 6 hours out of an 8-hour workday. 

Now I'm in a lot of meetings, or on the phone most of the time.  The ipod rarely gets turned on.  I'm really starting to miss the constant stream of music to my brain.  Plus, I'm several weeks behind on the Relevant podcast.

Here in the US, raw green mangoes are found less often and are expensive. Green apples are more easily available at the grocery shops.  

Parece que Apple se apunta a vender humo, o al menos eso se desprende de la promesa incumplida en su tienda online. La empresa de la manzana prometió a sus usuarios que Apple Tv Take Two contaría con más de mil películas para descargar. De momento sólo 350 son las que ofrece.

De paso podemos empezar a dudar de la decisión de no incorporar lector óptico en su nuevo y super fashion portátil. Apple argumentaba que no era necesario gracias a que las descargas online no eran futuro sino un claro presente. Parece que ellos mismos se encargan con hechos de contradecirse.

Pues sí, windows se ha cargado el disco duro de mi MacBook. Estoy sin ordenador cerca de una semana ya. Por esto, llevo una semana de trabajo retrasado. No ha habido forma de recuperar archivos, he perdido unos cuantos gigas de fotos con cenas, cumpleaños, viajes...... y un largo etc. Esto la verdad, es lo que más me ha dolido, ya que no las tenía en ninguna otra parte. También he perdido la práctica de FP2 que ya tenía casi terminada, ahora toca volverla a empezar. He perdido el juego que hicimos para una asignatura con prolog, en la cual saqué un 8. Que lástima, el juego funcionaba bien.
