According to United Press International, Paul McCartney has reached a $400 million deal with Apple to have The Beatles catalog added to the iTunes store. Paul won't be the only one benefitting from this deal--Ringo Starr will receive a portion of the profits as will the families of George Harrison and John Lennon. McCartney doesn't solely own recording or publishing rights to The Beatles music, so Michael Jackson, EMI and Sony will also be getting a cut. |

Somewhere in the last six months, the iPhone overtook the MacBook Pro as my primary computer. I don’t know when it happened—it was an imperceptible, gradual shift in the way I organized my life. I intended my iPhone to be used as a lifeline for those times I didn’t have WiFi for my laptop. I knew this included all of the time I spent at work, but I’d gotten along fine for the prior three years being disconnected from my personal communications during the business day. I thought would be using the iPhone’s email capabilities for “emergency” communications: last-minute Toastmasters meeting coordination and the like1. |

A Kibon parece ter gostado da parceria com a Apple. Desta vez está dando MacBooks e iMacs para os melhores jogadores do Kibon Laka Game Show. I got an iPod for my birthday! Pete surprised me with the green nano iPod that I've been wanting for awhile. I totally wasn't expecting it as I didn't think we had the extra cash at the moment (we probably didn't)! In case you can't tell what you're looking at I took a picture of the back of the iPod and so you can see the logo as well as my reflection in it. |

I love music. I'm not one of those guys who can name every keyboardist who's ever played for the Rolling Stones, has memorized U2's entire discography, or has a passionate and informed position on Van Roth versus Van Hagar. Nor am I one of those guys who can pick up a guitar, rip impressive licks and entertain a room for hours. Still, I appreciate good music and it's hard for me to imagine life without it. |

Well folks, it looks like the ball is officially rolling. A few days ago we had posted news tidbits that Paul McCartney needed some kind of iTunes/download agreement to help

SDK stands for Software Development Kit. Just like a LEGO box, with lots of pre-shaped blocks in it, which snap together in a myriad of possible configurations (depending on where your imagination leads you) an SDK is a set of tools which allows software programmers to snap together their code so we can actually interact with the math that makes applications from the Web browser to Photoshop possible.
