How DO they do it? When we bought our first 3 iPods back in 2003 (they were 10, 15 and 20 Gigabytes respectively) they didn't just look moderne; no, they looked as though they had dropped from the future through a wormhole in the space/time continuum. But when they finally succumbed to hard use and (perhaps) questionable musical tastes, and we waltzed back into our Mac room after a quick trip to Target to exchange a swipe of plastic for a BRAN' NEW SILVER IPOD CLASSIC, they looked... looked... old. How? |

After looking at my AppleScript to resize windows, I’ve decided to make a few updates. Instead of manually doing the math for each resolution, I’ve created a new variable, desired_width, which is exactly what it sounds like: how wide you want your windows to be. I’ve also made the other variable names more human-friendly: _nl and _nr are now left_bound and right_bound, respectively, for example. After adding iTunes to my script, I noticed that it was being resized behind the menuba |

Last night, I finally finished updating my iTunes library last night since we moved it to an external hard drive over a month ago. I plugged in my iPod mini to synch it, and the battery died mid-synch. I had a feeling it was coming (it's about 3.5 years old), but it was lousy timing. It's literally all I can do to keep from buying myself an iPod nano. But we've spent so much money recently that I'm having trouble justifying it, even to myself. So it looks like I'll be ordering a replacement battery online and having hubby install it. |
