McCain - redux

Outside his advanced age, health concerns and his flip flopping John McCain has problems on a whole host of issues, Mr. "Straight Talk" has a lot of splainin' to do.

Here's the short list, a taste, of potential political problems for McCain:

Macbook Pro Battery Problem

My laptop has been on my desk charging since yesterday. I was about to head out to one of my branch offices and noticed the battery charge was at 7%!

Thank goodness I opted for AppleCare, but the last laptop I brought in (logic board fried) I got the hairy eyeball from a genius because it was also dented. When did you do this? They always want to blame the obvious. And wouldn't you know, last week my most recent laptop fell off a chair at one of my conference facilities and now the front is dented and doesn't close very well.

iPhoto + Picasa

I'm a fan of Google's Picasa Web Albums, but wasn't sure I'd be able to continue using it from a Mac.  Currently, there is no Picasa client available for Mac, but luckily I stumbled upon a Picasa iPhoto plug-in that uploads photos seamlessly.  If you use a Mac and Picasa Web Albums, take a look at this Google FAQ for alternatives to the iPhoto plug-in.

Although the airline advertises that its customers can power their laptop in the air, Richard Branson's fleet has yet to get around to updating the power options for Apple laptop customers.

Android - A Face Only An Engineer Could Love

Ars has a great article up on the state of Google's Android cell phone platform... and it looks like ass.

Clearly designed by the folks that have worked tirelessly to make sure that Linux looks and acts like a Red Green duct tape abomination, looking at this video gave me a headache.

We all hate microsoft...

We all hate microsoft. Few hate because windows hangs too often, others cos its slow, and others cos its not open source, and others cos of its monopolistic "evil" behaviour and others cos its rich, and many others cos everybody around them hates it. Whatever the reason is, we all simply hate it. But, if we look at the history, we realise if not microsoft, it could have been much worse.
