Pwnd...

Have you ever seen a photo in your head and were so excited about it,  but once you started trying to shoot it it just doesn't come out the way you picture it at all?

So I went outside today to do just that. It was all perfect in my head...a wonderful photo. But I started trying take the photo and the focus just wasn't working for me and I couldn't stand in the right place or just...pretty much anything that could happen did. :)

I always have trouble with self-portraits. They all end up looking borderline Myspace photo. But since I'm pretty much the only model I have I just have to keep working at it I suppose!

But here's some of the shots to show how my day went:

This was me trying to focus in on myself and it accidentally shot:

Stupid, Stupid Me..

Remind me again why I put my beloved iPod in the washing machine? Oh, right. I'm trying to see the positive effects of this but I can't. I mean, it's not about the fact that I don't have an iPod anymore, I have my phone, it's 'coz my dad seems really angry at me.

I can understand, but argh, I can't really explain it. My iPod is officially dead, when I plug it in it doesn't show up. My dad seems really, really upset and annoyed and it's driving me nuts, I can't take it, it's argh. I don't know what I'm gonna do, actually. Maybe I could sulk around all day and just keep my mouth shut.

ello my morning sunshine! :-)

ohh yes! i just finished my 1st morning run since my last VR (virtual run). it's been ages. and i'd say, i kinda miss it...the whole idea of a VR.

weather here swings from super hot in the midday to sappy afternoons. so i was really reluctant to have a run here in saigon. then ben gave me tina's #, another HF member, who's here also. i sms her so we can run together, but have not received a reply. anyway, i proceeded with my run and:

- i finally saw hcmc (ok district 1 at least) sans the throngs of locals on motorbikes. just the plain, simple yet charming saigon.

i took my fat ass to the YMCA at six thirty this morning.

My ipod crapped out on me today.   That really sucks.  It was just one of the little nanos but it rocked.  No fancy digital touch screen.  It just played the music that I put on it.  But I reckon those smart geeks over at Apple put a chip in it to make it crap out sometime so I’d have to go buy a new one.

Final Cut Pro 6: Import Preferences

One little preferences you might want to set in case of "Log and Transfer" problem:

"Remove Advanced Pulldown and Duplicate Frames"

Check it if there's something wrong with the import (with this option unchecked).

or

Uncheck it if there's something wrong with the import (with this option checked).

This option might make a difference when importing from Digital HD Camcorder such as Panasonic HDC-SD9.

LEU Flashback: Computers, Freedom, and Molotov Cocktails

Back in 1993 a group of intrepid Mac users started the Low-End User eZine (LEU).  The eZine was created to serve the needs of low-end Mac users. These were people who couldn't (or didn't want to) buy the latest and greatest computers and were often ignored by the major publishers. The LEU also included articles that were somewhat philosophical and addressed some of the moral and political issues relating to technology.
