Trovo finalmente il tempo di scrivere questa guida, come promesso... Mi scuso per l'assenza degli ultimi tempi, ma gli impegni, soprattutto universitari, mi hanno concesso poco tempo... Ormai sono un felice possessore dell'Apple Macbook dal quasi due mesi, per cui posso trarre le mie conclusioni e raccontare la mia esperienza di installazione di Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron".

One of my earlier posts here pondered why it was that Apple hadn't taken to Psystar, an unauthorised Mac cloner, with its legals. Wait no longer, it appears they've done so. If I were the people behind Psystar I'd be very worried, it appears they've breached trademarks, the EULA, as well as selling modified copyrighted code for commercial purposes. Check it out. |

To update you folks out there, my Mac is currently in shop. Apparently, my computer was built with a faulty hard drive so it was destined to poop out on me eventually. (Damn!) I guess updating my operating system just pushed it over the edge. (Even hard drives get stressed out) Thank goodness for Apple Care or I'd seriously be out a pretty penny. (Perhaps this was Apple's ploy all along!) I feel incomplete without my computer! It's bad when you can't live without it. (But I want to meet the person who can so I can tell them their weird! |

Both Microsoft "Messenger for Mac" and Adium offer far fewer features than the Windows MSN client - Windows Live Messenger -- Why is that!? For instance, just now I was signed into MSN in Adium and I wanted to send a link to a friend, but he wasn't online; fine, I thought - I'll just send the message now and he'll get it when he comes online. But no! Adium informed me that the contact wasn't online and gave me two choices - to send the message now and that it would only go through if the contact was appearing offline or send it later. |

Es hat ja eine Weile gebraucht - seit April - aber nun ist sie da: Die Apple-Klage zum illegalen Mac-Klon. Nachdem Pystar im April diesen Jahres einen kommerziellen "Hackintosh" auf den Markt warf und erst letzten Monat das gleiche als Server ankündigte, hat Apple nun rechtliche Schritte ergriffen und gegen Pystar Klage beim "US District Court for the Northern District of California" eingereicht. Aufgrund des Umstands, dass Apple's EULA für OS X klar aussagt, dass das Betriebssystem nur auf Macs verwendet werden darf, dürfte Apple gute Chancen auf Erfolg haben. |
