Two weeks later, New Yorkers wait 4 1/2 hours for an iPhone

The barricades are still in place outside the glass cube of Apple's (AAPL) flagship store on Fifth Avenue, and the line of customers still snakes down to 58th Street.

To the amazement of Apple staffers handling the crowd, hundreds of shoppers were lined up Thursday afternoon for a chance to buy  an iPhone 3G - 14 days after it first went on sale.

Facebook Connect for Mobiles to Come This Fall, With iPhone Support

Fresh off their launch of Facebook Connect at their second developer conference, the social networking company is going to launch a mobile version of the Facebook Connect this fall, Jed Stremel, director of mobile for Facebook, said in a chat today. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company is going to release the code of their entire "mobile subsystem" he said.

This will allow developers to add Facebook's social graph into their applications. Stremel said the company was going to release the code first for iPhone, mostly because they have been contacted by various developers who want to build social features into their iPhone & iPod Touch apps. The company will shift attention to other platforms later, he added.

Cool Browser Tricks: Safari 3.1x

Not that this is particularly hidden, but has anyone else found this yet? Cool stuff!

1) You can open a page you're looking at in one of your alternative browsers (obviously, this screenshot was taken with Safari for Windows)

2) You can also change your User Agent on the fly to see how differently pages render under each User Agent. Nice!

Early Morning Fear

This morning I was rudely awakened by a huge crackling of thunder. My heart's beat instantly sped up, and I could not seem to calm myself down. I glanced over at my clock, and the angry red digits told me that it was 4:42 in the morning. Do not get me wrong, I LOVE thunderstorms, just not the kind where the thunder sounds like it could come into my room and possibly kill me. You know, that horrible kind where it sounds like a huge piece of glass is shattering into a million little pieces.

Mac tablet?

The picture is just a mock-up of the rumor that Apple will be releasing a Macbook tablet. I don't believe that it is
much of a stretch considering that the iPhone is just a mini osx. To transfer the technology to a tablet would be a fairly easy job. The rumors say that it should be arriving in October but that's not Job's style. He likes attention so I think that there will be an announcement at Macworld in January.
This would be great for artists and even muscians. Those that want a tablet now should take a look at Axiotron and their Modbook.

Requisitos

Tener el firmware 2.0 jailbrekeado

Apple has killed audio quality, says Neil Young

via: www.afterdawn.com

Rock star Neil Young made some interesting comments at the Fortune Brainstorm Tech Conference yesterday including his suggestion that music sound quality has been "dumbed down to Fisher-Price toy levels" since the inception of the iPod.

<!--more-->
“Apple has taken a detour down the convenience highway,”
Young said. “Quality has taken a complete backseat - if it even gets in the car at all.”
