Aperture 2 Printing Problems (Epson 1400 Specifically)

Part of my photo setup here is using Aperture 2 to manage files and an Epson Photo 1400 for handling printing here at home.  Ever since I brought it home a few months ago I would occasionally run into issues with it not printing.  It's not that it wasn't working, if I printed from anything else it was fine. But if I printed from Aperture it wouldn't print.  I could see it getting to the print queue but would never print.

I ran into the same issue tonight when I was trying to print a couple pictures for my sister.  I updated Aperture, checked the drivers, restarted, etc.  Nothing.  I tried my faithful problem solver (google), still nothing.  But after flipping through the Apple Customer Support I found my answer.

New iPod Touch?

Could Apple be planing to update the iPod Touch by August or September? You bet. Apple has been notorious for updating its line of the best selling MP3 player, iPod, during the fall. Also, iPhone Atlas released this:

"Analysis of the iPhone OS 2.1 file structure reveals various files that display the string “iPod2,1.” The current iPod touch is referenced with the model moniker “1,1.”

So it would be no surprise if Apple CEO Steve Jobs walked out onto the stage this fall and said Ta-da.... there's new iPods!!!!!!!

iPhone Experience

Ok, so I finally got down to buying the iphone and I have to say, I am quite impressed!! Activation and sorting out things with 02 proved to be stressful as I found myself dialing 202 twice a day to sort out problems which the world seemed to be facing over the first few days.

I don't want to bore you with all the details. All I can say is that after 1 week, I finally have my iphone 3G fully functional.

Google rolls out Pedestrian GPS option on Google Maps - Why is this good for TomTom?

Last week, Google rolled out a very interesting new feature on its Google Maps product - walking directions. Up until now, Google Maps has been one of the best multi-platform mapping tools, allowing other sites to embed Google Maps and to extend its functionality to enable "mash-ups" or custom maps. On mobile platforms such as the iPhone and RIM's BlackBerry, Google Maps has also been popular, bringing mapping and location-based searching at users' fingertips. A Google-exclusive called "MyLocation" also allowed devices without GPS chips installed to provide an approximate location through cell tower triangulation.Yet, the biggest problem with the tool was that cell phones are used a lot by pedestrians, but the directions provided were inevitably for automobiles.

oh my bod

Todo mundo já conhece o "Oh My Bod", o vibrador que você pluga no iPod e manda bala conforme o ritmo da música. A idéia é o máximo e este videozinho da Soft Paris segue a mesma linha. Adorei a loja, o vídeo, tudo! Quero provar!
