Rate Your Run - 8/13/08 - Lost iPOD edition

I give this run a rating of -100.

What a difference 24 hours make . . . Last night's run was awesome - this night's "run" - not so much. Actually, I didn't get the chance to run because I spent 45 minutes looking for my second generation nano which somehow got lost between the locker room (where I know I had it) and the park.

Resigned that I had lost it, I headed back home and filled up my gas tank and decided to do good by properly inflating my tires - escept that I almost lost one of my tire pressure valve caps in the process!

That is it, I am obviously losing my mind here and need a vacation. I don't think I'll run/workout until my new refurbished 3G nano arrives.

The iPod touch

Blogging on the go with an iPod touch, the slickest portable music player of them all so far. The only drawbacks I can think of at the moment are the fact that it's a closed product which means your are confined to use it with iTunes and a few differente formats, but also the modest battery time. It's a good investment though. For a few moments, I want an iPhone just so I wouldn't have to find open wi-fi networks to reach the Internet. By the way, I didn't want to stand in that hotspot all day, so this was in the end not posted from the iPod, but it still perhaps shows that the iPod business is going in the right direction in some sense. More on that another time.

Enjoying the sounds of silence

I've always been a person who uses an iPod while I'm working out.  Whether it's a visit to the gym, on a run, or on the bike, I've always used an iPod.  Heck, if there was a decent system to use in the pool, I'd probably have one of those too.  I've always felt that I needed it to keep myself entertained while I was outside.

9 Things I Hate About PC World's Article

I think I might start some sort of series: Why PC World is an ignorant and idiotic publication. Time after time, I try to remember that at the end of the day, the author is the one writing this stupidity, but it seems like PC World has some sort of magnet for terrible articles (or authors?).

August Wester
