Apple's latest innovation is set out to be... Wireless Power! 'What? It's just a marketing ploy? Oh.' In the regularly used picture of the iMac which shows everything you get with the Mac, but not the power cable. Why, may I ask, is the iMac powered if it is not plugged in?
Oh, and also, the cables never sit as perfectly as this. If you want them to stick like this, you have to use TAPE! |

The afternoon my grandparents home burned to the ground was one of the coldest days on record for Western Idaho. Our pipes froze and then burst that morning, and my Mom thought that bursting was the reason that a family friend had remarked (while she was out shopping) that he was sorry about the "trouble we had had out on the farm." By the time she was made it home, she could see that the small fire had moved from its origin (a heater beneath an engine block) to consume the entire structure. The firefighters' hoses were ineffective in the cold against the blaze, and after experiencing increasingly dangerous conditions and the outset of hypothermia, they had give up the battle. |

Cost as reviewed: FREE This'll be a quick one, folks. I had to download this app just to see what it as like. The description says it is for entertaining your toddler. Basically all you do is drag your finger across the screen to generate various sized bubbles that you can then "pop" by tapping them. The bubbles make sounds and they are "pulled" down by "gravity." The application is very simple, but it is done well and is somewhat fun for anyone to play with once in a while. However, if I was trying to entertain a toddler I don't think I would be using my precious iPhone to do so! |

There have been a lot of birthdays going around -- cold nights in the late seventies and early eighties created more than fondue parties -- and since both Simon and I turned one year (b)older in the past two weeks, we’ve both been forced to think about our inevitable deaths. Awesome. Aside from the guy with the scythe, I personally was left wondering why it took me so damn long to give up on office slavery and do what I wanted to do. Which is not just stare at Olympic swimmers on the idiot box, skateboard, and eat burritos, despite what my whip-cracking inner manager says. Success comes from doing. You want to do something? Do it. Period. No excuses, no disclaimers, no waiting. |
