iTunando: James

Assim que ouvi "Ring the Bells" foi logo o que me veio a cabeça: "Nossa, parece The Smiths!". Parecendo ou não, é um som bem gostoso de se ouvir.

Microsoft no es guai

photosynth.jpg

Leyendo el blog de Applesfera como hago habitualmente, me encuentro con este anuncio de Microsoft:

Unfortunately, we're not cool enough to run on your OS yet. We really wish we had a version of Photosynth that worked cross platform, but for now it only runs on Windows.

Trust us, as soon as we have a Mac version ready, it will be up and available on our site.

Traducido al castellano, sería algo así:

Apple Mac "This is why im hot!"

Owning a MacBookPro is no joke for some of us. First you have to come to terms with the amount of money you are just about to spend on a laptop as opposed to the ones you generally get to use for free most of your days. None the less i did shelve out the insane sum of money because at the end of any amount of research you tend to end at only one conclusion " An Apple is an Apple!"

Design of the iPhone

Seeing a recent article on Gizmodo made me think of this.

Many people harsh on the iPhone for whatever reason. Because it lacks features, because it lacks capabilities. It lacks the ability to use MMS. Yeah, whatever.

<!--more-->But the truth is, while many believe all these features being omitted from the iPhone to be a dealbreaker, features isn't what the iPhone was meant for. Not at all.

The iPhone was meant, rather, to bring the "it just works" thing over to the phone field. Compare and contrast the iPhone to another phone. Seriously, do it.

AMAZON.COM IS OFFERING A NEWER VERSION OF EBOOK READER, "KINDLE"

Yahoo! News and Newsfactor are reporting that Amazon.com is ready to ship out newer versions of their revolutionary new product for reading electronic books, "Kindle"; the product was first released last November and its popularity is picking up as people more and more seek the convenience of carrying thousands of novels and other books on one simple device.

The first version of the Kindle was considered a bit archaic and so Amazon has redesigned its next version to have better features, more user friendly controls and perhaps a sleeker-look with better color schemes.

What the fsck? Beats me

Apple really don't help themselves. People accuse them of selling shitty overpriced equipment which is only priced higher because of a brand name (and at risk of sounding like a Mac fanboy, they don't - with a few notable exceptions), and they respond by releasing these. Yes, Beats headphones - expensive because they were designed by Dr. Dre! Because when I think precision engineering and audio perfection, I think Dr. Dre. Dr. Dre, who stands to make a small fortune out of selling £280 headphones to gullible pricks.

September 9th - Apple's Special Event? - Mark you calendar?

CF4AC2D2-3963-4C3D-93D8-DD67C4A855DC.jpg

Kevin Rose is stirring up a huge "geek" whirlwind surrounding his latest video post about Apple's new iPod nano, iTunes 8 and its new music subscription service.
On the TWIT, This Week in Tech podcast, he chatted about his video and gave more info about the upcoming special event.

This is a lot of news for one guy to unveil. Does he have the connections? In my opinion, he has a reputation to protect and can't afford to be wrong.
I guess we will sit back, cross our fingers and wait until 9.9.08.

Pull the HandBrake. Don't Buy Movies on iTunes.

Let's be honest, iTunes is not cheap, particularly in the 'Movies' section. And most of the time you get a better selection for cheaper at a retail store. So don't buy movies on iTunes just for your iPod or Apple TV, simply rip a DVD onto your computer using HandBrake, a free application that simply any video content (including content on DVD's) and converts it into MP4, MKV, AVI or OGM formats. So now your movie is stored on your computer ready to import into iTunes and then onto your devices.

I Made Ed Stetzer’s Blog!

Many of you know that I am truly a Mac guy, and only work with PC if I have to. I have a 4 yr. old Mac Powerbook G4 Laptop (I would LOVE to get a new MacBook Pro!) and I have a new 3G iPhone. Both of these devices I use a LOT!

20 Minutes and A Week Later

I finally got around to calling Apple last week about the fan on my Macbook Pro.

<!--more-->

I was on the phone for a total of 20 minutes, that's including the 10 minute wait.  First I told the guy my fan was getting really loud and then he tried to tell me that its normal for Macbook Pros to get really loud (no shit), I told him again with more emphases on really and loud and was about to mimic the sounds it made and when I remembered I ran a hardware test and it actually gave an error the night before.

With the error code I probably saved a bunch of time.  He ran down my options:

1. Go to an Apple Store
2. They'll send a box
