iPhone Firmware Update 2.0.1

A new firmware just popped up on iTunes today.  Hopefully this update will fix some the issues that has plagued the 3G since day one.  A new feature or two wouldn't be bad either.

Apple releases iPhone, iPod Touch firmware 2.0.1

iphone_201_firmware.jpg

Apple just released firmware 2.0.1 for the iPhone and iPod Touch which you should be available in iTunes now.

Not really clear what's in this version except for some "bug fixes". Hopefully among the bugs fixed are the slow text input bug and the slow scrolling bug, each of which were new to the 2.0 firmware.

Google Reader...or how i learned to let the internet work for me.

This just in. i have been using the internet the wrong way, for years. Lets not lie, i’m a tinsy bit technophobic. Not that i don’t love technology always and forever, i am just not quick to throw out perfectly good technology as soon as the newest flashiest upgrade comes along.

ooooooo I can't wait to see what the updates are.  Apple Software Update 2.1.1, I wonder does this refer to the iPod Touch or something else.

My connection has been really slow today so it'll be a while before I can tell you what they're like.

Apple increasing iPhone 3G production

Demand for Apple's iPhone 3G remains strong, which could be forcing Apple to ramp production beyond its original estimates.

TechCrunch is reporting that Apple has asked Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai, to increase production of the iPhone 3G to 800,000 units a week. That pace translates to about 40 million units a year, far greater than what most analysts had been expecting the company to sell in the iPhone 3G era.
