This week I started training for a part time position at one of the Apple store's as a concierge. I've had a wonderful week and have met some truly lovely people. I can't wait to finish training and get on with the job. This is a great opportunity for me and I plan to make the most out of it. Finally my life is getting into some type of order. Two months after finishing university ah well, at least its sorting itself out now with two excellent jobs. |

There something in the air at apple. I don't know what it is. Apple is falling down. Its become Microsoft. I know may not want to hear that and there are hundreds of post saying otherwise but thats reality. There stocks But the way i see it there is only two options. One they buy out a website such as yahoo or some other big software or they make something big. Bigger than the ipod. Something that will revolutionize the way we live. An all in one, something simplistic, something amazing. As customers we have no idea what it is. We are told what we like. We were told that the iphone was going to be the biggest thing every but its old news. Yeh sure there still news about the firmware and speculation of apple controlling iphones and stuff. But the phone itself is not changing. |

Recently, Microsoft decided they would try to fight back against Apple's "Get a Mac" ads. Most Mac users are familiar with these advertisements. However, regardless of which computing platform you use, you've probably seen these ads, as they are quite popular today on television and what not. Basically, the "Get a Mac" ads entail Justin Long (who portrays the Mac) and John Hodgman (who portrays the PC) having a light hearted debate about a specific topic that a computer user requires. In the end, most people will laugh playfully at the PC, walking away thinking that in that specific area, the Mac is better. |

Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. |

With the Bar done, dead and over, I decided to reinstall VMWare fusion... and quickly ran into a problem. VMWare kept saying it couldn't authenticate my Boot Camp installation, and suggested that my permissions were incorrectly set. A quick knowledge base search led to the solution:

Technology changes on us all the time. That's the way it's meant to be. The messenger on foot (or horse) gives way to the telegraph which gives way to the telephone, which gives way to the radio, which gives way to the television, which gives way to the internet. Technology progresses. But in the age where electronic technology rules the world, the average consumer loses.
