This is my good old Mac Quadra 700. My last Mac standing, from the time I was a university student. It brings back a lot of good old memories of the impressing colorful acetates I could draw with it and project on a plain overhead projector after printing them with an HP Color Inkjet. Then followed the impact with reality: Windows 3.11, OS/2 Warp, Windows NT and their descendants is all I met in the corporate world. But eventually they caught up to the Mac's functionality. |

I posted a while ago about scrobbling to last.fm without iTunes, so i thought i'd write about how to do this using winamp and the ml_ipod plugin. Once you have installed winamp all you need to do is download the plugin from the site above and install it. If you want to scrobble to last.fm you need to check the box during the install as this feature is not installed by default. |

When it comes being a technosavvy, I'm a little bit on a freaky part of it. My Trascend 2 GB player from back in the days when people knew what MP3/I-pod players are, still works. As the world moved on with colored screens, nanos, videos and touches, I was still using my ipod mini ,with its simple black/white screen. |

Almost immediately when I got my Google account, I started using Google Calendar to keep my life organized. Its greatest strength was that I was able to consult my calendar anywhere I had an Internet connection. And because Apple uses standards (as opposed to some other companies), I had no problem syncing gCal with iCal, though only one way. No problem so far, I'd just use my Internet browser to update. Then I bought my iPod Touch (which I absolutely love) and while I could sync my calendars, it now became more problematic that they were read-only and that I was unable to add or change any information. In comes Spanning Sync, designed specifically to sync calendars between iCal and gCal. |

What scares me more, is not that Parker Brothers used to have computers, but that this guys not wearing any pants. Here is a gallery of 101 Classic Computer ads. Reminds us where we came from, or more accurately, where the COMPUTER has come in all these years. Even Atari and AT&T had computers for a while. I like the laptop ad myself. The internet, back then was called "outside sources". hehe |

First: Don't believe a Mac is any more reliable than a PC. It's not. |
