Zap! Dark! Gone!

Three weeks ago, I knew I was in trouble when my 2004 iMac G5 started shutting itself off 2-3 times per hour.  Working on it made me feel I was playing <!--more-->with a mouse-trap roulette of some sort, as the hatchet (sudden black screen) threatened to be falling "at any moment". Saving every 20 seconds became a rabid necessity, as well as a real pain.

My MacBook is Freaking Awesome...I Just Need To Learn How to Use It

I am in love with my brand new MacBook that I got last week. It is super-user-friendly but I still need to learn how to fully use it so I can maximize my productivity. I'm so new to the Apple game that it's not even funny. I don't even really care for iTunes or QuickTime so I have no idea how the pieces of the puzzle added up for me to buy a Mac. Regardless, it's freaking awesome.

No Good Oats

I didn't get around to posting yesterday because I ended up going out with a friend for some Phil's hip hop fun after doing some textbook reading and there just wasn't a chance in between. So here's a quick recap of some of yesterday's stuff.

Wednesday

I was going to try eating bigger meals in order to snack less, but it only half worked. I just can't do that very successfully when there are little bits of leftovers in the fridge requiring eating. I think most of them are finally gone now.

Blog-rant in 5..4..3..2..

1. WTF!? I browse a number of tech-blogs and I am honestly befuddled at the amazing number of Microsoft zealots.

I was reading a blog today where a comparison was made between:
the new iPod Nano and the new Zune.

I must say that the new Zune doesn't look bad though it is far from impressive. It is the next evolution in Microsoft's venture into iPod territory. Now I am not going to proclaim that the iPod is the greatest device ever but it's easy to use and fits nicely into the Apple eco-system. There is certainly better hardware out there and there are certainly more affordable options.

So, lets replace dumb with.....

with an admittance that we are no longer in charge.  We are no longer in the lead.  The market has passed us by.  We are seeing the last gasp's of Microsoft.  The writing is now on the wall.

One more proof that intelligence doesn't exist in Redmond!

Or maybe just proof that Apple's MacOSX is better, for creative stuff.  You know, like writing copy, or coming up with Microsoft ad campaigns.
