Apple Files for Patents

Apple Insider is reporting that Apple has recently filed for two new US Patents.

One patent covers technology that would allow wireless devices to pair by just being within close proximity of each other. A lot of people experience difficulty getting their wireless devices to connect to each other and this would allow for the devices to pair if they were both openly receiving connections and were placed within a foot of each other. Many devices today require a pin to pair devices together which sometimes isn't practical with devices such as a bluetooth headset. This would technology would simplify the process.

Putain 21 ans !

Mais encore jeune et beau.
<!--more-->

Thanks Apple!

It's been an eventful week as far as computer geek hardware, software and, well, life in general.

I created a css layout from scratch, and was happy about that. You can view it, here:http:dcbiased.nfshost.com/css/layout.html. As soon as i figure out what happened to my hosting there :)

How Apple Did It

When the iPhone was first announced, I remember exchanging many emails with industry colleagues -as many people did - speculating about the possibilities of Apple hitting the 10 million target that Steve Jobs set during the announcement.

Many emails were based on market research: how many people were buying phones at over $500 at the time, how big was the market for smartphones, etc. I was skeptical given the complexity of the software stack that powers a phone. Most of us had to eat our words.

How did Steve pull it off?

Quit Complaining about the App Store

TechCrunch tells us to stop complaining about the Apple App Store:

So to developers out there, those who love the App Store and those who loathe it, recall that the power of the platform is to create a system which connects software developers and consumers of that software. But when someone makes a platform, they also control the rules which go along with that platform. And right now the platform to be on is the iPhone platform. To those who are unhappy with the restrictions that Apple places on the App Store, don’t complain. Just keep on coding.

What's On Your iPod?

Some one sent me an email today and said they would love to know what is on my iPod.  They wanted to know what music made me tick.

Really...does music say something about me?

Well, Here is what is currently on my device.

Podcasts:  Dave Ramsey, Clark Howard, Tiki Bar (Video), HockeyBuzz, CEO Exchange, Bored Again Christian- I have others that I am trying but haven't decided if I love them enough to list them.
