I'm sure you already saw yesterdays post about the iPod Nano 4G. J.R. has recently put another picture on Engadget. My first thought of this was, how does this guy get a hold of two of these things!? He already gave us a bad picture of an orange one. I guess this is trying to get rid of an suspisions of the last bad quality picture. At first sight I didn't like the new look but it is beginning to get me. Let's jut hope J.R. isn' t playing us.

Before I begin, some of you may already be thinking that I am overcritical of Apple. That may be. But they seem to be the only ones with commercials claiming how k-rad their operating system is. Here's what I do. I have two personal computers. The first is a nice Macbook Pro I bought in the fall of 2006. The second is a beefy brand spanking new home assembled workstation running both Windows XP and Linux. When it comes to using the computer, I more often than not will go turn on the workstation, go through the process of logging in, etc instead of use my Macbook that spends most of the time sitting on the floor in front of the TV. The reason is, I've found it takes at least twice as much effort to do something on my Mac than it does on my workstation. |

Microsoft used to own your home office, but over the last few years Steve Jobs has been getting his sweet, well-deserved revenge as Apple has taken over with the key demographics. With commercials like this one, Bill Gates is only making it easier for him. I know this is a tease for a bigger reveal later down the road, but by the time this happens Apple will have already come out with 36 new kinds of Ipod and a laptop so thin that it can double as an emergency parachute. The commercial is kind of funny, I emphasize the "kind of", and Seinfeld is a hell of a guy to advertise with (Remember Bee Movie? My nightmares sure do). Here's the ad. What do you think? |
