The last couple weeks it seems like I have been unable to focus on anything! I mean, who could focus on anything when every day there is a plethora of new Sarah Palin bashing material to read/watch. Here are some other things that fueled my procrastination fire lately: Fav Tape I am a big fan of the mixed tape and this is the best site for making mixes, so far! Their database doesn't have every song, but it's pretty good. It also has the ability to download your favs or recent tracks from Last.FM or Pandora. iFlipr is my fav iphone app to date. If you have known me for more than 5 minutes, that you probably know that i always carry a giant stack of flash cards in my bag. With iFlipr, you can make your flashcards digital and put them on your iphone!!!! On their site, you can also browse and download other people's decks. Fingers crossed that on their next update they will enable color coded cards...then I can truly ditch the paper cards and fully embrace my neurotic-ness, via iPhone. NERD HEAVEN! iNap (thx Norbs). I haven't been had a need to use this app, yet. Melbourne transit doesn't run late at night, so there is no real risk of falling asleep...but this would have come in handy on several occasions in NYC. iNap uses the 'location aware' feature of the iPhone to determine where you are and sets an alarm once you get to a certain radius of your set destination. Obviously, you would have to be able to get a signal...so I am not sure if this would work if the subway was underground? StitchMinder (thx brad) is a free stitch counting utility application for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch. The program provides four customizable counters that can be used to track rows completed, pattern rows, increases, and decreases. Speaking of knitting, Ravelry is a cute social network set up for knitters, I haven't used the site much...but it's a great place to look for ideas or patterns, ask questions etc. |
